Anyone with experience of prison?

Sounds a little weird I know. I'm actually a graphics degree student and trying desperately to create imagery relating to confinement, particulary solitary and the mental effects on such a predicament. Any feelings, fears, thoughts, however ridiculous in the free or social world would be mively appreciated, I am sure I could use such feedback to find a new slant on what I am trying to achieve.
