Help! Looking for the name of an old cartoon from the early 70's...?

I remember watching cartoons, like Sherman and Peabody and the Pink Panther, Alvin & the Chimpmonks, and then there where these little cartoons in between the main cartoon (kind of like the early Simpsons on the tracy ulman show), sometimes it would be the anteater but other times it would be these 2 scientists, 1 was tall and the other short.... Please help, I need to know the name of this cartoon, it is driving me nuts trying to figure this out. 10 pts. for the one who gives me the solution first or helps me figure it out!
